LT-144 Water Bath Serological

A water bath is a lab device used for incubating samples at a constant temperature over time, utilizing heated water in a mild steel or stainless steel container. It can be set to digital or analog controls and is used for warming reagents, melting substrates, and incubating cell cultures. Water baths are also ideal for heating flammable chemicals safely, as they lack an open flame. For temperatures above 100 °C, alternative methods like oil, silicone, or sand baths are used

1. Construction: Double-walled or single-walled rectangular chamber.

2. Inner Chamber & Lid Material: Stainless steel 304.

3. Outer Body Material: Mild steel with epoxy powder coating.

4. Insulation: Glass wool, mineral wool, ceramic wool, or rack wool between walls.

5. Temperature Range: 5°C above ambient to 99.9°C.

6. Temperature Accuracy: ±0.1°C to ±5°C.

7. Temperature Uniformity: ±0.1°C to ±5°C.

8. Temperature Control Sensitivity: ±0.1°C to ±0.5°C.

9. Temperature Controller: Microprocessor-based PID or digital with indicators and ON/OFF switch.
